Graphic marker on canvas, comprising of three seperate 10x10cm canvases. And bit of gradient/contrast adjustment done on PS CS2 afterwards.
This piece has been made for the Inner Beauty Contest hosted by 
The way I wanted to convey the way I see inner beauty was through a cenral figure, the woman/girl, who is surrounded by many chaotic, both positive and negative, external influences. Yet even though she is in touch with these surroundings and accepting of them (her arms extend to the side canvases) she still maintains her own inner identity and peace, a clarity which isn't diminished no matter what the situation around her. But I didn't want this clarity to seem rigid or narrow-minded, so I added open eyes. For some reason open eyes have always symbolised open-mindedness for me.. *shrug*
